My FAVORITE "intimates" store EVER!! Ok, so I thought I knew what size bra I wore. Duh. Right? WRONG!! I had
no idea that I'd been wearing the wrong size bra, but I knew the ones that I had were not that comfortable. After spending
a short time with Louise Miglio (owner of La Corsetiere) my bra size increased, my comfort increased, and my wallet did not
decrease as much as I thought it would. YEAH!! I bought two bras (on my first visit) and went home and threw out 20 "bad
ones". I will never buy a bra from anyone else. THANK YOU Louise!

Shapewear doesn't just shrink your
waist and hips by inches, it also can help you control your shape. For instance, maybe you love your curves, but you'd like
a tighter midsection. Or maybe you just need your clothes to lie smoothly over a dress or skirt. Shapewear can help you get
the look you want.
The shapewear today is not like your old-fashioned girdle, says Louise Miglio. Today's shapewear
is made of a microfiber material that's comfortable, and smoothes and slims from just below the bust down through the waist
and thighs.
Miglio recommends Curves by Berkshire, which retails for $15. It's lightweight, so you can comfortably
wear it under white pants in the summer, and it doesn't roll or cut into you like other shapers. She also recommends the High
Waisted Shaper by Sophie (above), which retails for $45. This shaper is made of a much thicker material. It actually cinches
you in a whole inch, and it comes in many different lengths and styles.

AS THE PAGE TURNS: Bookstore, gallery & Cafe. One of the newest stores
in town, now open in the courtyard at the old church. Here is a little more about who they are:
"We are an independent
bookseller who wants to stimulate your senses with poetry, novels, nonfiction, art, and conversation. We have local and international
authors and artists to show both ends of the spectrum. We want to attract the parents looking for a good book for their child
and for themselves.
We showcase books for a month and art for 2 months. These books will be one each of a local and
national author. You never know when one of our local authors will become the next nationally known celebrity. A brief synopsis
is given of the book and the author."

Rock on Main - This cool and comfortable clothing store, owned by Colleen
(formerly from Caruso Caruso in B'ham), serves both men and women. What I love most about this store is their ability to size
you up when you walk in the store. NOT IN A BAD WAY... in a very very good way! Colleen can look right at you and know what
will look good on you and what won't. She's always right on the mark! I wish I could buy all of her choices for me! 248-348-3344

Owned by friends Pat and Lori, this warm store carries not only home goods, decorations and
seasonal items, but also personal products such as: milled soaps, body washes, hand creams and salts from Crabtree and Evelyn.
You'll find gifts for every season and every reason here. Their reasonable prices really surprised me. Big bang for the buck
and something unique for that special gift.
